A collection of artifacts, instruments, and decorative objects that transform everyday spaces into places of curiosity and conversation.
Curated objects that invite curiosity
Why artifacts & objects
Artifacts & Objects is a curated collection of historical artifacts, vintage instruments, textiles, scientific curiosities, and decorative objects from the past.
Some pieces are displayed within our signature AO Display Boxes. Others are offered as standalone objects selected for their craftsmanship, history, and visual presence.
Each object is chosen for its ability to invite curiosity—encouraging us to look closer, ask questions, and connect with the stories carried forward through material culture.
New to the collection
Recently acquired objects selected for their history, craftsmanship, and ability to inspire curiosity.
How we curate | what makes an AO Object?
We look for objects that possess one or more of the following qualities:
- Historical significance
- Mechanical ingenuity
- Scientific interest
- Exceptional craftsmanship
- Cultural relevance
- Unusual materials or construction
- Strong visual presence
Whether it’s a WWII-era microscope, a travel clock, a hand plane, or a textile from another era, each object is selected because it invites a closer look.
Stories, histories, and observations inspired by objects that invite a closer look.
